How does an infrared sauna work?

Infrared heaters in the sauna emit FAR Infrared heat which is a narrow band of energy within the 5.6 to 15 micron level. This type of energy closely resembles the natural human spectrum so it’s easily absorbed by the body tissue. The body reacts by sweating profusely which has many health benefits including detoxification, improved blood flow, circulation and weight loss.

Do SunRay Saunas emit EMF?

SunRay, unlike many manufacturers, does not use wires to conduct FAR Infrared heat, rather we apply the perfect thickness of ultra-conductive carbon to an epoxy resin panel activated by positive and negative copper strips on either side. The epoxy resin panel is then laminated which results in ultra low EMF levels safe for continuous use.

How is the sauna packaged?

SunRay Saunas contain wooden panels that are pre-packaged in cardboard boxes and then placed on a wooden pallet to ensure the sauna arrives without damage. The cardboard boxes can be removed from the pallet and will fit through any door size 24”or greater. 

Does the sauna come pre-assembled?

SunRay Saunas are not pre-assembled. They arrive in panels which are secured together with screws and metal latches. Assembly takes approximately one hour

How long does it take to assemble the sauna?

Most sauna models take about an hour to assemble. Two people are required. For more information on the assembly of the unit please see the assembly instructions.

Are there any special tools required to assemble the sauna?

No, the only tool you need to assemble the sauna is a phillips head screwdriver or drill with a phillips head bit.

What voltage does the unit run on?

All SunRay infrared saunas use UL listed plugs and operate on 110V. Some larger indoor and outdoor saunas require a non-standard 20 amp plug. Traditional saunas operate on a 220V dedicated circuit. 

Can I place the sauna on the second floor?

Most saunas weigh between 300-400lbs, so yes you can place a sauna on the second floor

Can I use the sauna outdoors?

All SunRay Saunas except the outdoor models must be used indoors. They are not suitable for outdoor use.

How do I clean the sauna?

First, unplug the sauna and make sure it is cool before cleaning. To clean the wooden interior of your sauna mix 3 teaspoons of baking soda into a gallon of warm water. Use a towel to wipe down the interior with the baking soda and water mixture. Then wipe the sauna down with a wet towel and let dry. The glass in your sauna can be cleaned with glass cleaner. If you have an outdoor sauna, use a standard garden hose on a low/mist setting to wash out the interior. Make sure to leave the door open so the sauna can dry.

How often do I need to clean the sauna?

The sauna should be cleaned every 6 months or at your discretion if you are using it regularly. Using a towel to sit on while in the sauna will capture a lot of the sweat and thereby reduce the frequency of cleaning the sauna.

How soon will my sauna be shipped after purchase?

Orders placed prior to noon on any weekday will be shipped the same day. Orders placed after noon on any weekday will be shipped the following weekday. Online orders placed on the weekend will be shipped on Monday

What types of credit cards do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. We do not accept American Express.

If I place an order today, when should I expect it to arrive?

Depending on the availability of the sauna and size of the order, it can take from 7 to 14 business days to ship. Smaller orders are quicker to process for shipment, while larger items need to go through the process of testing to make sure it is working before we ship to our customers.

Can I ship my order to another address differing from my billing address provided?

Yes, you will have the opportunity to add a different shipping address if desired. However, the order might be delayed due to address verification. All packages will require a signature in order to insure proper delivery.

Why must I sign for the package?

All packages are shipped via FedEx with signature confirmation. This is to ensure us that you have received the package and it was not lost or stolen. The shipping carrier will not leave the package in front of your door; someone has to be there to sign for the package. After 3 attempts the package is shipped back to us.

Can I waive the signature confirmation?

Yes, if you know that you are most likely to miss the package when deliveries are made, you have the option of waiving the signature confirmation to avoid shipment return. You must write an email to shipping@infraredsaunaguru.net to state that you want to waive the “signature confirmation" before your order is shipped. Please include the following: First and Last name, shipping address, and your waiver. Once the package has been shipped the signature confirmation cannot be waived.

I missed the package and did not waive the signature confirmation, what happens now?

If you missed the package after the 3rd attempt then the package is returned to us and there will be a “re-shipment" charge applied to you order. If it's been only the 1st or 2nd attempt and you know that you will not be there during the 2nd or 3rd there are two options. You can either sign the back of the “we missed you" slip and that will be do as signature or call the local FedEx location where the package is and ask for it to be held. It then can be picked up whenever you have time. In the case where you would like the package to be re-routed a re-routing fee will be applied to your order.

Why am I receiving multiple confirmation e-mails?

At the time of the order there are up to 2-3 different confirmations e-mails that are sent to you depending on your order. The first is from our billing department confirming your order. The second is from our shipping department to let you know your tracking number for your order and that your item was shipped. The third e-mail applies only if your order includes our recycling program which is from our RMA department informing you of your unique RMA number to return your existing items back to us.

Why is there a “handling" fee billed on my invoice?

Every package that we ship out needs to be processed, packaged, and shipped out. This requires a handling fee from our warehouse that is non-refundable and cannot be waived under any circumstance.

What is an RMA number and why do I need it?

An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) is a numbered authorization provided by InfraredSaunaGuru to permit the return of a product. We require this to avoid unnecessary returns. Any Warranty Claims, Return Order, and etc; all require an RMA number. Do not ship your item until a unique RMA number is issued to you via e-mail. We will not accept packages without an RMA number, therefore you package will be returned to the sender.

What if my item does not function upon receiving it?

If the item is not working properly please call our customer service immediately. We will then set up a technician call in order to figure out if something went wrong during installation and how it can be fixed. If the item is still not working the RMA department will issue you RMA# to apply to the box. Once we receive the item back we will test the past and re-ship a brand new working unit.

InfraredSaunaGuru stands behind each product that we sell to our customers. If you have a question about how to install that product on your own, we are more than happy to help. In stock products will be shipped the next business day following order placement. Orders placed on the weekend will be shipped on Monday or the next business day.
